THE WIN/WIN GOD

The Concept//

the win/win God

---------

How many times have we heard the phrases “you win some, you lose some”, “You can't win them all”, “not everyone can be a winner”??!! It's ingrained in our minds from the beginning that winning means there must be a loser on the other end. It's one of the “laws of life” that we can use as a lense to view so many things (especially for us competitive types:)! But, then God comes in with His nothing is impossible, supernatural, upside down kingdom and every loss can be turned into a win. In Him, there is no losing, no second place, no defeat.

Jesus is a WIN/WIN God.

made for victory

---------

I know the struggle is real and life can be really difficult at times. Because we are all imperfect people we can offend, disappoint, or even hurt one another. There is a constant barrage of things requiring our attention, but just because God calls us to pour our lives out for others doesn’t mean that you sacrifice your own needs from being met. Jesus is a win-win God! He can give you the perseverance to keep serving, giving, pouring out your life to others while continually filling you with all you need. Sometimes we experience this truth in our lives, and at other times we can just feel burned out by serving others. I know first hand the reality of the feelings of defeat, discouragement and disappointment in ministry and in life.

When these things creep in what are we supposed to do?

Why do we feel burned out and what can you do to get back to place of what we were made for?

The victory you were made for

The Gold//

he's always the answer

---------

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Jesus made sure, amid a life of giving to others all the time, to spend time with his father…..(he frequently went away to pray and he went to synagogue each weekly sabbath), and he spent times with just his three closest friends.
Here are a couple of things you can go to practically COME TO HIM and experience the Win/Win God:

  1. Make a playlist of your favorite worship songs and spend time each day in worship and listening prayer.
  2. Schedule time in your week to do something that fills you up emotionally-connect with a friend, take hot bath, walk in a park.

No matter what you are up against today, His win/win answer is always right there waiting.

Victory is always within reach, all you have to do is have the courage to take hold of it.
